Scalp Micropigmentation is a long-lasting, non-surgical solution for hair loss and hair thinning. While SMP is considered permanent, it naturally softens over time due to skin regeneration, lifestyle factors, and sun exposure.
Many clients choose to schedule a maintenance touch-up every 3–5 years to refresh pigment and maintain optimal results. Touch-ups are optional and customized based on individual preference and how the pigment ages on the skin.

The cost of Scalp Micropigmentation can vary depending on the treatment area, the extent of hair loss, and your individual goals. Because every scalp and every situation is different, the most accurate way to determine pricing is through a personalized consultation with a certified SMP practitioner.
Consultations can be done in person or virtually. If you prefer, we also offer Zoom consultations or the option to send photos and discuss your treatment plan during a brief call.
In the Rochester area, pricing typically ranges from $1,299 for light FUE/FUT scar camouflage to $3,499 for more extensive treatments such as full hairline and crown restoration. Your exact investment will be based on your unique needs and the number of sessions required.
Flexible payment options are available, allowing many clients to begin treatment right away with little to no upfront cost.

Pain tolerance is different from client to client but most people can tolerate it without the need of topical anesthetics. Generally clients report the feeling to be very tolerable and not as bad as they expected.

Yes — absolutely! Scalp Micropigmentation is often referred to by different names, but regardless of terminology, the approach remains the same: this is a collaborative process between you and your artist
During your consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, facial structure, hair loss pattern, and long-term considerations. I’ll always offer professional guidance and honest recommendations based on what will look natural and age well over time.
Ultimately, your comfort and confidence matter most. Together, we’ll design a hairline that feels right for you and aligns with realistic, long-lasting results.

Most clients can expect 2–4 treatment sessions, depending on the area being treated, skin type, and desired level of density. To achieve the most natural-looking results, SMP is built gradually — adding density with each session rather than doing everything at once.
This approach allows results to develop thoughtfully and gives you control throughout the process. Adjustments, such as refining density or modifying the hairline, can be made in later sessions once we see how the pigment settles and heals.
Building results over multiple sessions ensures a balanced, realistic outcome that looks natural now and continues to age well over time.

Availability can vary depending on scheduling and treatment needs. In most cases, clients are able to begin their first Scalp Micropigmentation session within 2–3 weeks of their consultation.
Each additional session is typically scheduled 10–14 days apart, allowing adequate time for healing and proper pigment settling between treatments.
Everything begins with a complimentary consultation. This gives us the opportunity to review your goals, answer questions, and determine whether SMP is the right solution for you. To get started, simply complete our brief intake survey and book a consultation call.
